It is available to individuals between the ages of 22 and 58. To get started, you can download the Freo Pay app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After downloading, sign up, complete the necessary steps to activate your account, and access a credit limit of up to ₹10,000.

You can use it at any merchant or store that accepts payments via scanning a UPI QR code. This feature enables you to make transactions by scanning the QR code at the outlet, allowing you to enjoy your purchases. You have up to 30 days to repay your expenses at 0% interest, and you’ll receive a single consolidated bill for all your transactions.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I GET APPROVED FOR WITH FREO PAY?

HOW CAN I CONTACT FREO PAY FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT?

If you repay your due amount within the app before the 30day period ends, there are no additional charges. However, if you don’t repay your bill by the 5th of the next month, Freo Pay may temporarily suspend your transactions and impose a late fee of ₹30 + GST per day for missed payments after the 5th.

This late fee is capped at ₹900 per billing cycle, after which an 18% GST is applied to the total late fee amount. Additionally, a convenience fee of up to 5% (+GST) may apply on the amount used during the month, payable when repaying dues. You can check your convenience fee within the app.

WHY CAN’T I CREATE FREO PAY ACCOUNT?

If you can’t make a Freo Pay account, it could be because our servers are having some issues. The best thing to do is wait for a bit and try again later. If the problem keeps happening even after a few tries, you can email our team at hello@freopay.com. Make sure to send pictures of any error messages you see.

HOW CAN I GET MY ACCOUNT UNBLOCKED?

ACCOUNT GOT BLOCKED AFTER AADHAAR VERIFICATION

If your account got blocked after verifying your Aadhaar, it might be because there’s an issue with your Aadhaar number. Sadly, you won’t be able to use your account for transactions. To fix this, please contact our team at hello@freopay.com. Tell us your registered email ID and phone number, and attach a scanned copy of your Aadhaar card to the email. We’ll look into it.

WHY IS MY “SCAN NOW, PAY LATER” FEATURE DISABLED?

If your “scan now, pay later” feature is turned off, it might be because of an internal rule. Contact our team at hello@freopay.com and tell us your registered email ID and phone number to find out why.

HOW CAN I DELETE MY FREO PAY ACCOUNT?

If you’re not happy with the app, please tell us what didn’t work for you at hello@freopay.com. Freo Pay want to make things better. But if you still want to delete your account, follow these steps:

 Pay off any bills you owe.

 Remove the app from your phone using one of these methods:

  1. Hold down the Freo Pay app icon, tap on “app info,” and then press “Uninstall.”
  2. Go to your phone’s settings, find “Apps & notifications,” select “Freo Pay App info,” and then press “Uninstall.”
  3. Open the Google Play Store, search for Freo Pay, and tap ‘Uninstall.’
  4. Open the Apple App Store, look for Freo Pay, and tap ‘Uninstall.’

WHY WAS MY APPLICATION REJECTED?

Whether your Freo Pay application gets accepted depends on a few things, like your credit history and how you’ve paid bills before. Our team looks at your application carefully. If it doesn’t meet certain rules, it might get rejected. Don’t worry, though. You can try again three months after your last application.

MY TRANSACTION IS STILL “PENDING.” WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WHAT IS THE BILLING CYCLE?

Your billing cycle covers the 1st day of a month until the end of that month. All your transactions get combined into one statement, and your bill is generated on the following day, which is the 1st of the next month. So, you’ll receive your bills on the 1st of each month.

WHEN IS THE REPAYMENT DUE DATE?

The due date for your bill is the 5th of every month.

What happens if I don’t pay by the repayment due date?

If you miss paying your bill by the 5th of a month, Freo Pay will temporarily suspend your transactions. Additionally, you’ll be charged a late fee of Rs. 30, plus GST of 18% per day for each day you miss payment after the 5th.

This late fee is capped at Rs. 900 per billing cycle, and there will be 18% GST added to your total late fee amount. It’s crucial to repay on time to avoid these charges.

HOW DO I PAY MY FREO PAY BILL?

You can easily pay your bill within the app itself. Here are the steps:

 Open the Freo Pay app.

If you’re paying your bill early, on the home screen, under your photo and available limit, you’ll see a box showing the amount you’ve spent out of your Freo Pay limit. Click on “Settle bill” > “Settlement,” and then click “Pay.” Alternatively, you can select a custom amount and click “Proceed to pay.”

If you’re paying after your bill is generated, go to the home screen. Under your photo and available limit, you’ll see a box indicating that your statement for the month is generated. Here, click on “View” > “Settlement,” and clear your bill amount.

 

WHAT IF I DON’T PAY MY FREO PAY LATE FEES AT ALL?

 

If you don’t pay your late fees, you’ll incur substantial charges. Additionally, Freo Pay’s collections team will reach out to you to help with repayment. If you continue to delay payment, we may have to send you a legal notice. So, it’s strongly advised to repay your bills on time.

 

CAN I RECHARGE AMOUNT?

You don’t exactly recharge your limit; instead, you reset or restore it by paying off your expenses. You can do this in two ways:

  1. Pay your bill directly through the app.
  2. If you’ve opted for WhatsApp notifications, we will send you a WhatsApp payment message with a link. This link will take you to a payment gateway through which you can reset your amount by repaying your expenses.

WHEN CAN I RECHARGE?

As mentioned earlier, you don’t recharge your limit; you reset or restore it by paying for your expenses. This can be done at any time using the methods mentioned above.

CHARGED AN INCORRECT LATE FEE

If you were charged an incorrect late fee due to an issue within the app, please don’t worry. Reach out to our team at hello@freopay.com, and include screenshots of the problem or error you encountered. We’ll respond within 24-78 working hours to help you resolve the issue.

PAID THE AMOUNT TO THE MERCHANT, BUT THEY’VE NOT RECEIVED IT

If you’ve paid a merchant but they haven’t received the payment, please contact our team at hello@freopay.com. Attach a screenshot of the transaction on your Freo Pay app, including the date, transaction reference ID, and amount. Don’t forget to mention your registered email ID and phone number.

HOW DO I GET MY REFUND FROM A MERCHANT?

If you need a refund from a merchant, follow these steps:

  1. Find the refund reference number, usually received via SMS or email.
  2. Send the reference number along with relevant screenshots to hello@freopay.com.

Freo Pay look into the matter and respond within 24-72 working hours.

ASKED FOR A REFUND

If you’ve already shared your transaction details with it, please wait for at least 7 working days. Your refund should appear in your  app within that time.

CAN’T LOG IN?

If you’re having trouble logging in, it might be because you’re using an older version of the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app or updating it from your app store.

NOT GETTING AN OTP TO LOG IN OR SIGN UP

THE APP SAYS ‘MAXIMUM OTP REACHED’ WHILE LOGGING IN

FREO PAY APP KEEPS CRASHING

THE APP SAYS THAT MY PAN CARD ALREADY EXISTS

This error typically occurs when you have previously registered with the app and are trying to register again with a different email ID and phone number but the same PAN.

The error message should include the last four digits of your previously registered phone number. To continue, please log in with your registered details and ensure you’re using the latest app version.
